Pleasantville Appalachia Service Project (ASP) Mission

ASP Shareholders’ Dinner is January 12th at 6:00 PM in the Fellowship Hall.

Pleasantville has a long tradition of sending volunteers to Central Appalachia each summer for a week-long home-repair ministry with the Appalachia Service Project, a Tennessee-based non-profit organization.

In 2024, our community sent 14 volunteers to Ansted, West Virginia to make critical home repairs for a local family.  Our team included adult team leaders, a young adult leader, and high school aged youth volunteers.  Every volunteer worked together during an intense week to make the home warmer, safer, and drier.

Thanks to the support of our community and our volunteers’ willingness to serve, we are now planning a mission trip for the summer of 2025!  If you are in the Pleasantville, NY area and would like to volunteer with us in 2025, please see the information packet and application here or contact us at PleasantvilleASP@gmail.com.
