Presbyterian Women (PW)

Formerly PWL (Presbyterian Women’s League)

Our local chapter of the Presbyterian Church USA women’s organization includes all women who attend our congregation and is open to all other women who would like to attend our events.  We subscribe to the purposes and commitments of the parent organization but we determine our own leadership, calendar of events, and budget.  Primary concerns for us are opportunities for service and fellowship.  We seek ways to support the work of the church and to strengthen our faith and care of our community.  The group has a long history of service and we are proud to continue the work.  At present we offer an annual faith-centered brunch, special programs of a wide variety, an annual Rummage, Hearts and Hands (a weekly charity sewing/knitting group), and we have for several generations accepted care of the kitchen and our linens.  We are very busy, especially now that so many women have jobs outside the home.  Nevertheless, we enjoy being a major support for both church and community and are always open to new ways to serve.
